i went to the ZOO on thurs with dene and zuzu.haha it was fun! nobody else could make it =( like lesles or rayner.i didn't bring my camera so we used denne's one..haha the pictures are up. but i look gross cos i was tired and grumpy at the end. but we watched all the shows! so it was $15 WELL SPENT. but the last show at the children's playworld was so sucky haha. the sheepdog refused to do what the trainer asked it to do...hahaha.but the rest were cool...i liked the fragile forest alott. the lemurs actually dare to come up close to you and its super cool cos they jump around you and play catching around you. i wanted to see the tree kangaroo but it was pretty elusive...so was the sloth. =(

so for much of the earlier part we were taking pictures with animals and posing in front of them pretending to act like them. very silly. and i duno why zu and dene kept taking pictures with the dustbins..-_- OH YA the otters are super super cute z0mg we were lucky enough to see them eating fish..very cool. and they're very friendly cos if u dangle your arms over the water they'll swim to you cos they'll think you're giving them food. and they make these barking noises. and i saw some super majestic-looking animals like the white tiger and the maned wolf, and even some primate with cool fur. speaking of monkeys..the proboscis monkeys are horribly indecent....go look at the picture denne is the most excited about. oh and i think baboons have the grossest butts around. haha and at the end of our journey denne decided to overcome her personal challenge of taking a picture with a snake wrapped around her! not bad! but she was squealing so its not counted. it was a fun day where i forgot about my troubles! and things im sad about!

on friday was another fun-filled day cos orientation team 0506 went out to sentosa! it was fun cos we played beach soccer and frisbee and dunked people. leslie lim almost lost my spectacles! luckily kevin, or keith found it. yea and after that it rained but it didn't really dampen our mood and we went to harbourfront to eat. :) a day pretty well spent! oh annabelle and i climbed up this scaffolding thingy supporting the coconut tree. quite fun haha

on saturday...we had a sec4 gathering at mrs lim's house!it was very fun catching up and everything. cedric jong raghu hongyue and i met up earlier to navigate our way to paya lebar walk...and cedric almost got us lost with his lousy streetdirectory.com. but it was a fun night! the food was yummy i gorged on lotsa sausages and chicken wings and beef steaks :D

ahh..this past week has been so filled with activity that i haven't had much time to catch a breather. fortunately there was time today to perform the much needed change of fish tank water and hamster cage bedding =) and just relax and think about what the past week has been. sigh i wish every week could just be full of nonsense distracting us from the real world of paperchasing and the fact that our loved ones may be overseas ;'( my fathers birthday is on tuesday and he's leaving the country tomorrow, so we wont get to celebrate his birthday with him. i decided to do the family a favour and make a card-thingy for him. i thought it was quite nice =) i like using oil pastels and water colour...i did this card which says 'dear daddy...even though, mummy loves her handbags, matt loves his soccer balls, ying loves her ipod, and mike loves his maplestory.....we love you the most! happy birthday!' haha quite cool right =) and i drew those items with oil pastels and everything...really fun.

i think we dont show our parents enough gratitude, like we take them for granted. everytime someone sends me home i always show my appreciation in multiple 'thank yous', but i just exit the car without saying a word when my father comes from bukit timah to fetch me at paya lebar. i should make a point to say thank you =)

the next week will be less fun-filled i think, but nevertheless relatively busy! seeeee ya
